Bit by bit, piece by piece, this collaborative effort involving a Chinese conductor flown in from Vienna, an orchestra full of local professional musicians of various ethnicities, a couple of amateur choirs, an Irish-Canadian balloon sculpturist and a famous painter from China plus a dozen volunteers, a team of union staff, a bunch of sponsors and a non-profit organization called the Li Delun Music Foundation is finally coming together! In another 19 hours, the concert will begin and the music will flow... but until then, what can I do to supress my excitement so that I can get some sleep for some much needed rest before confronting the thousands of little details tomorrow as the show gets under way? That's the rhetorical question which can only be answered by a few pictures from behind the scenes...
